The design of the Reusable Patil Syracuse Oral Airway is as an Aid for fiberoptic endoscopy.  Features include:

• Central groove guides the endoscope in the midline.
• Airway can be removed without disturbing the position of the endoscope.
• Slit at the end of the airway allows advancement of the tip of the endoscope beyond epiglottis to visualize the larynx.
• Side channels are provided to permit suctioning without interrupting endoscopy.
• Well tolerated by the patient under topical anesthesia and/or sedation.
